1. Katy Perry – Unconditionally

As a total KatyCat, I have to admit that this song is currently on rotation as one of the perfect tunes for Valentine's Day. Ms. Perry's vocal range is quite impressive on this track; coupled with the incredibly heartfelt message, "Unconditionally" is guaranteed to woo your lover off his or her feet.

2. Beyoncé – XO

After shocking the world with her secret album release in December 2012, Beyoncé has managed to keep her audience interested (and on the edge of their seats) with finely tuned lyrics and her booming voice. The sweetness infused into "XO" will definitely sweep you off of your feet! Once you get to the chorus, you will be inclined to agree.

3. Fall out Boy –Alone Together

I don't think I'm the only person who still has to wipe away tears of joys at the mere mention of Fall Out Boy's return to the music industry back in 2013. Reinventing their image, I love that "Alone Together" still plays on their signature sound. This is one of my favorite tracks off of their comeback album "The Young Blood Chronicles."

4. Passenger – Let Her Go

I was first introduced to the Vitamin Strings Quartet cover of this song before listening to the original tune. The pure emotion behind both versions makes this a clear contender as a love song. The message speaks of deep regret for not realizing you have something great until it's too late; its function as an eye-opener makes it even more raw.

5. Tegan and Sara – Closer

This is a song that was released at the end of 2012 but gained a substantial amount of airplay in 2013. I have been following this dynamic duo's career for quite some time. When I first heard this single, I fell in love with the warm melodies. Their album "Hearthrob" features copious gems such as this.

6. Justin Timberlake – Pusher Love Girl

The superb musical arrangement of this next track immediately drew me in. With every new single, Justin Timberlake proves why he continuously dominates the music charts. I really love his smooth and soulful voice.

7. Paramore –Still into You

As a music aficionado, this tune actually inspired me to write a love letter to an old flame (only to hide it away). Although I don't think I will ever get over the exit of the Farro brothers, I have to say that Paramore 2.0 is quite swell. Watching the music video enhanced my opinion.

8. One Direction – Story of My Life

The amount of sincerity behind their voices is quite stunning. I actually heard this song by accident (while browsing Instagram) and haven't turned back since. I

9. Whitney Houston – I Will Always Love You

Lastly, I thought it would be fitting to include one of the greatest love songs of all time. Originally recorded by the lovely Dolly Parton, this song will forever be on repeat during all holidays. In her cover, Whitney Houston's chilling vocals are extremely captivating and inspiring.
