1. Gonna Get over You

This is one of my all-time favourite upbeat songs! Gonna Get Over You by Sara Bareilles is a break-up song that is not depressing at all. Sara Bareilles sings about feeling terrible about a break-up, but she knows that she will be fine eventually. The song talks about how break-ups can lead to personal growth and acceptance. It also reminds us of our worth and when to let go of a relationship that is one sided. Come to think of it, the song is positive and empowering!

2. Starships

Interpretations of this song may range from PG to R due to the lyrics’ connotations. It’s mainly about going out and going all out with your friends, nothing but pure fun. Whatever your interpretation of the song may be, you can’t deny that this song is catchy. I love its tempo and beat! And it produces so much hype right from the first second of the song. I highly recommend that this is the first song that you listen to when you’re going on a road trip.
