1. 22 by Taylor Swift

22 is the ultimate girls’ night song, no debate needed. If 22 isn’t really your style, it’s just a few weeks until we get an entire album of songs for girls' night from Taylor Swift. She’s set to release a new album in October 2014, and has talked about how she’s focused on her friends rather than boys since releasing her last album. Knowing Taylor, her new album will be every girls’ night soundtrack for years to come!

2. Daydreamin’ by Ariana Grande

No girls’ night playlist would be complete without a little Ariana Grande. Any of her songs would be perfect for your girls’ night playlist, but Daydreamin’ is definitely my favorite! I love its old-school vibe, and even though I love her pop hits as well, there’s something about this song that reminds me of dancing around my room with my best friends a là Grease while singing this song!

Frequently asked questions

3. Hard out Here by Lily Allen

Lily Allen came back in a big way with this song, and rightfully so. She shut down every misogynist out there with this song, and it’s hard not to dance to its catchy beat. She accurately explains the point she was trying to make, plus it’s the perfect song to dance to with your girlfriends!

4. Flawless by Beyoncé

If Beyoncé’s entire self-titled album isn’t already on your girls’ night playlist, I’m not sure why. While I believe the entire album should be on a girls’ night playlist, at the very least, Flawless must be on it. Not only is it empowering, but it’s also so much fun to dance and sing along to with your favorite girls!

5. All about That Bass by Meghan Trainor

One of the more quiet hits of the summer, I can’t help but bop along to this song every time I hear it on the radio. Whether you’re throwing a last hurrah at the beach or simply having a sleepover with your besties, this song is mandatory for your girls’ nights this year!

6. Love is Battlefield by Pat Benatar

Since falling in love with 13 Going on 30 as a pre-teen, Love is a Battlefield has always been one of my favorite girls’ night songs. Hearing it, no matter where I am, always conjures up images of Jennifer Garner dancing around with girls half her age in a choreographed number. It sounds like it should be strange, yet it’s oddly one of the most endearing scenes in the movie, and makes it necessary for a girls’ night!

7. BO$$ by Fifth Harmony

Fifth Harmony are quickly bringing the girl group back to the forefront of the pop world, and while it’s interesting to watch their rise, it’s also simply so nice to finally have another girl group to listen to on your girls’ nights. Their album is coming out this fall, so for right now, this song is a must-have on your girls’ night playlist!
