1. You Don’t Own Me by Lesley Gore🙅
This is our absolute favorite girl power anthem, and we are not ashamed to admit it. There was a remake of the song a bit ago, but the original by Gore is not to be overlooked. She had so much sass for the time period and relays a message that all women should take to heart.
2. Run the World (Girls) by Beyonce
You really can’t make a list without this song on it. It’s an amazing power anthem and it’s great for working out to also. Try not to sing along, it’s impossible.

3. F**kin’ Perfect by Pink
We love this song by Pink because of its badass chorus. She reminds every one of us that we are perfect just the way we are.
4. Independent Women by Destiny’s Child
We have another Beyonce track for you, and you shouldn’t be surprised. Destiny’s Child killed it with power songs back in the day, and Independent Women is one of our favs. “I depend on me,” is a strong statement, and they own it.
5. Girl on Fire by Alicia Keys
Alicia Keys has always been a model of strength and power in the music world, and this song is a classic. “Looks like a girl but she’s a flame, so bright she can burn your eyes” is a great line from the tune.

6. Miss Independent by Kelly Clarkson
This is another classic hit that kind of is opposite from a lot of the other songs on the list. It talks about going from independent to vulnerable. But Kelly Clarkson delivers the lines with such conviction and it’s so fun to sing along to that it had to be on the list (and it’s still a powerful message)!
7. No Scrubs by TLC
This is such a good song. We love it so much. There’s nothing better than singing out against the scrubs in your life and only accepting the best for you. “No, I don’t want your number, and no, I don’t want to give you mine,” – you tell em!!🖕🏻
8. Fighter by Christina Aguilera👊🏼
It’s not surprising that there are so many iconic female powerhouses on this list. Christina never fails to deliver a badass song that you just want to sing along with all day. We also love the music video.
9. I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor
You can’t have a list like this with at least one older anthem about a breakup, and this one takes the cake. This song reassures us that we will always be stronger on the other side and that there is so much more to come.
10. Good Girl by Carrie Underwood
Carrie Underwood has so many great songs to choose from, but we love this one. It’s a warning to any girl who might be lowering her standards for a guy. This should never be the case, so if it is, then leave (while you’re playing this song).
11. Get Ur Freak on by Missy Elliott
If you don’t feel like dancing when you hear this song, then there’s something wrong with you. Missy Elliott is basically the queen of awesome beats and lines. Another great track to work out to.
These are just a few of the songs for a playlist that you can get pumped up to 🎶 There’s so many, so we’d love to hear your favs!
