Annoyingly πŸ˜’ Catchy Songs 🎧 You Won't Get out of Your Head πŸ™ƒ ...

There are all types of music🎢, but perhaps the most infuriating are the ones that stay in your head no matter what. These can be so annoying, but they are so catchy that you can’t shake them. I’m sure you’re imagining a song in your head right now, because they’re not uncommon. We can all think of at least one song that fits this description, but we have compiled a list here as well to really drive the point home.

1. Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne

(Your reaction) Thank you!

This iconic song by 2000’s legend Avril Lavigne is impossible not to sing along to. The chorus is repetitive and easy to chat. β€œHey hey you you I don’t like your girlfriend!” became the slogan for 2006. All fan bases tend to relate to songs about relationships, and it reached charts in many countries. Plus we love the music video.

2. Fancy by Iggy Izalea

(Your reaction) Thank you!

The beginning lyrics of this song are iconic and recognizable to anyone who was alive in 2014 – β€œFirst things first I’m the realest.” Radio stations overplayed it, but for good reason. It’s catchy beat and fun lyrics make it impossible not to sing along to. It became Billboard’s β€œsong of the summerπŸŒžβ€ and for good reason.

3. I Knew You Were Trouble by Taylor Swift

(Your reaction) Thank you!

Taylor Swift is the queen of catchy breakup πŸ’” songs, but YouTube helped make this song a sensation by using effective marketing techniques. It won the β€œYouTube Phenomenon” award at the inaugural YouTube music awards. The endless parodies with screaming goats in the chorus helped keep the song on the radar as well.

4. Blue πŸŒ€(Da Ba Dee) by Eiffel 65

(Your reaction) Thank you!

Another instantly recognizable song, you’ve heard this. This was the first single from the band. The lyrics are constantly trying to be interpreted and understood. Setting them over a techno beat make them more interesting. The music video is pretty funny to look at now, considering the dated graphics (and kind of creepy aliens, to be honest).

5. Dragostea Din Tei by O-Zone

(Your reaction) Thank you!

Say the words numa numa and you instantly get transported back to the early days of Youtube and the viral video that highlighted this catchy song. This has been O-Zone’s most successful single, topping the Euro Chart, as well as the German and French Charts.

6. MMMbop by Hanson

(Your reaction) Thank you!

Most people can recognize this trio of brothers and their signature sound, and MMMbop was their debut single in 1997. The soft pop rock beat was distinct and it is a song that is almost impossible not to sing along to. It was nominated for two Grammy’s. Plus the boys are just adorable in their music video.

7. Barbie Girl πŸ’„ by Aqua

(Your reaction) Thank you!

This list would not be complete without this song. The opening lines are enough to take you for a throwback. We all have sung this song at least once or twice, even if it was just in the shower. It is Aqua’s third single, but their highest rated track that’s been released. Mattel, the makers of Barbie and Ken, even tried to sue MCA records for the use of Barbie related themes in the song and video.

8. We like to Party (Vengabus) by Vengaboys

(Your reaction) Thank you!

If this song doesn’t get you on your feet, then there is something wrong with you. The song by Dutch dance-pop group Vengaboys is sure to get you on your feet and singing along. It peaked at 26 on the Billboard Hot 100. These girls know how to have a good time, as the music video is shot on a fun party bus as well. It’s an invitation to join them to move your body and dance! πŸ’ƒπŸ»

These are just a few of the songs 🎢 that we find extremely catchy. If you have any others you think should be on the list, let us know in the comments!
