One of the most amazing albums from the 90s is Nirvana’s Nevermind. This album is constantly ranked as one of the greatest albums of all time. Nevermind helped bring alternative music mainstream. The grunge album has been certified Diamond and has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide! All the best known Nirvana songs are on Nevermind, including “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” “Lithium,” “Come as You Are,” and “In Bloom.”

Its influence in the hip hop and rap world is immeasurable. Ready to Die is the only album that was released during Biggie’s lifetime, as he died shortly before the release of his second album. Although he only has two albums to his name, The Notorious B.I.G. left an everlasting legacy with his work. The album contains hits such as “Big Poppa” and “Juicy.”

Jagged Little Pill is one of my all time favorite albums. The album was the third release for recording artist, Alanis Morissette. The album received critical acclaim and remains Alanis’s most influential album to date. After all, who doesn’t love singing along to the smash hit off the album, “You Oughta Know?”

Third Eye Blind – Third Eye Blind

Third Eye Blind’s debut, self-titled album is full of great 90s jams. One interesting thing about the album is that it only peaked at #25 on the Billboard charts, but it remained on the chars for over 100 weeks! The album produced many hits, including three songs that were in the Top 10 on the Billboard Charts: “Semi-Charmed Life,” “Jumper,” and “How’s It Going to Be.”

I love each of these amazing albums from the 90s and believe every person should have them on their iPod.
