This is definitely my all-time favorite Disney song! It sends such a wonderful message too! Who wouldn’t love these two best friends, Pumbaa an adorable warthog and his meerkat best friend, Timon? Actually the name of this beautiful song means no worries in Swahili and it really makes me feel good every time I hear it. It also such a catchy tune and I absolutely love the chorus: “Hakuna Matata, what a wonderful phrase/ Hakuna Matata, ain’t no passing craze/ It means no worries for the rest of your days/ It’s our problem free philosophy, Hakuna Matata”. And this is why this lovely tune makes the top of my list of the most inspirational Disney songs ever.

2 Someday My Prince Will Come – Snow White

This is the theme song from Disney’s first full length production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937 and it has been written by Larry Morry and Frank Churchill. It’s just so, so romantic and it just makes you dream about your Prince Charming, who you’ll surely going to meet someday. Maybe some people might not agree with me because they would say that this song actually sends a wrong message giving unrealistic expectations to teenagers, but in my opinion it’s nothing wrong with dreaming a little bit and if this songs makes you feel good, why not listen to it?

3 When You Wish upon a Star - Pinocchio

Oh, how I love this song! It’s so inspirational and it’s sends such a wonderful message! Pinocchio was released in 1940 and it was the second movie created by Walt Disney. It has been ranked by the American Film Institute as 7th in their “100 Greatest Songs in Film History,” and it also won an Academy Award for Best Original Song and Best Original Musical Score. It’s quite impressive, right? Well, who could forget these wonderful lyrics “When you wish upon a star/ Makes no difference who you are/ Anything your heart desires/ Will come to you.”?

4 The Bare Necessities – the Jungle Book

This amazing song actually teaches us how to focus only on the important things in life and not waste time worrying over insignificant details. I really should listen to this more often! Who could forget these very simple, yet extremely inspiring lyrics: “Look for the bare necessities/ The simple bare necessities/ Forget about your worries and your strife”. This song never disappoints, so hit the play button!

5 Beauty and the Beast – Beauty and the Beast

This is another wonderful tune I really had to mention in this list of inspirational Disney songs. It has been written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, and Angela Lansbury is the one who sings it. It also won a lot of awards: best song at the Academy Awards, the Grammy’s, and the Canadian Film awards (a Juno award). It also sends a beautiful message reminding us that loves usually comes when you least expect it and that there are things that matter more than superficial aspects like prejudices or old grudges.

6 A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes - Cinderella

Oh, I absolutely adore this song! Its lyrics are so encouraging because it tells you that basically you’ll overcome all the obstacles that might appear in your path if you just continue believing and not lose your hopes and dreams: “No matter how your heart is grieving/ If you’ll just keep on believing/ The dream that you wish will come true”. Your mind will surely wander to a magical place every time you hear this song! It is simply beautiful!

Boy, it sure looks like I really love Lion King, doesn’t it?  Well, who wouldn’t love this wonderful tune? It’s one of the best movie theme songs out there! It shows us how meaningful and full of substance life actually is. It’s written by Elton John and Tim Rice and there is also a Broadway musical which really made it for many people the best Disney song of all time.

This is such a hilarious and catchy song! It really makes the Snuggly Duckling seem like the cheeriest place to be every time you might be feeling a little bit down. It’s charming, funny and it will really brighten up your day! So, what are you waiting for? Hit that repeat button and play it once again!

9 Go the Distance - Hercules

This is such an empowering song! It’s also really inspiring and it basically tells you that you should always dare to dream, and always try to fulfill them no matter what. It’s written by Roger Bart and sung by Michael Bolton. I’m sure you are all familiar with the lyrics: “I will find my way/ I can go the distance/ I’ll be there someday/ If I can be strong” and also "I am on my way/ I can go the distance/ I don't care how far/ Somehow I’ll be strong/ I know every mile/ Will be worth my while/ I would go most anywhere/ To find where I belong". Absolutely beautiful!
