In the early 2000s, T-Pain dominated the radio airwaves with his wildly popular songs. I mean, remember when ring-tones were still a thing? There's a good chance that T-Pain was yours! Or was that just me?
Anyways, T-Pain was famous for his unique sound, which was of course using auto tune to make his voice sound different. "People felt like I was using it to sound good," says T-Pain, in an interview that will air on All Things Considered. "But I was just using it to sound different.”
It's rare to hear him without his signature sound but somehow, NPR got him to perform acoustically on their Tiny Desk Concert series. Here's what went down:
"Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin')"
"Up Down (Do This All Day)"
