There is no denying that 2004 was the year of Usher. His album, Confessions, was the top selling album of the year and his single Yeah! was the top hit of 2004. Yeah! topped the charts for 12 consecutive weeks before his second single off the album, Burn took its place. It’s hard to believe that Yeah! is one of the top hits from 2004 – I’m having trouble believing this song is that old already!

Although Slow Jamz was released in 2003, it reached the top of the Billboard charts in 2004. Slow Jamz became the first #1 hit for Twista, Kanye, and Jamie Foxx. Slow Jamz was also nominated for a Grammy Award.

Ashlee Simpson, Jessica’s younger sister, broke out into the music scene in 2004 with her album, Autobiography. Pieces of Me was her first and biggest hit off the debut album. Pieces of Me reached the Top 10 in the US as well as many other countries around the world.
