There are songs on TV shows that deserve a full version and a spot on the radio. Some are designed to make viewers laugh while others have genuinely good beats and lyrics. Either way, it’s music that I’d like to listen to in my free time. The following songs on TV shows have been made downloadable on iTunes, but deserve to be real hits.

Modern Family has become one of the most popular shows on television and Dylan has become one of my favorite characters. He’s quirky, cute, and a surprisingly good singer. In one of the episodes, he sings a song that he’s written about his girlfriend Haley. Check out the music video on YouTube. You won’t be disappointed. Out of all the songs on TV shows, I recommend this one the most.

Let’s face it, we all had a crush on Uncle Jesse from Full House. When he sang Forever to Becky, it made our hearts melt. They were such a perfect couple, weren’t they? His singing voice is soft and beautiful, just like those big brown eyes of his. This is a song that’s great to listen to with a loved one or while daydreaming of finding that perfect man.

If you’ve ever watched The Big Bang Theory, you’ve probably heard either Penny or Sheldon sing this children’s song. The lyrics are simple, but stay stuck in your head. How long has it been since you’ve had a brand new lullaby to sing to a child? This one is easy to learn and sounds good when performed by one or in a duet. So why not give it a listen?

Keeping with the feline theme, Smelly Cat is a musical gem. It might not have inspirational lyrics, a great tune, or good singer, but it has heart. Plus, it keeps you laughing. If you want to smile, turn on this tune from Friends. If it doesn’t entertain you, it will at least make you want to go back and watch a few old episodes.

Ready to rock your body like it’s Canada Day? This upbeat eighties tune from Robin Sparkles on How I Met Your Mother will make you want to dance. It’s so good that it has its own spot on the Just Dance 3 game for the Wii. So turn up your radio and enjoy the song. For added fun, check out the music video.

Shelley on Raising Hope performs several catchy songs that you’ll want to sing all day. The lyrics are always funny and her voice as chirpy as can be. Try listening to “Don’t Bite” if you’re in the mood to smile. If you’ve never seen the show, watch one of the episodes as well. It just might be your new favorite series.

On Lost, Charlie Pace was a member of a band called Drive Shaft. Their one hit wonder, You All Everybody, has a great tune. The lyrics are nonsensical, but the acoustics are worthy of praise. There are some songs that we sing along to that are just as confusing, so what makes this one any different? Forget the meaning and just enjoy the music.
Give your ears a treat and go listen to some of the songs! Do you like any of them? Which one is your favorite?
