I am always prepared to get moving and shaking at some of the most fun music festivals! Ranging from raves to mosh pits, the partying at music festivals is never ending. The different stages offer you a variety of different artists and sets. Some of the celebrations take place in cities such as New York City, Miami, Las Vegas and in countries such as Belgium and London. The beats that are spun and the sets that are chosen are the best of the best. Tomorrowland offers one of the best house lineups with artists including Avicii while Lollapalooza offers an amazing rock lineup with artists including The Black Keys. Get ready, get set, and become part of an unbelievable experience while attending a fun music festival.
1 Tomorrowland
Tomorrowland is one of the best dance parties on earth. If you do not believe me then ask one of the two million fans who tried to buy a ticket. This festival has a spectacular fairy-tale inspired stage design. The fabulous campsite is named Dreamville and incorporates a mind-ear-blowing electric dance experience. It was reported that the 2013 tickets sold out in one second. Talk about insane. This year’s lineup included Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Steve Aoki, and many, many more talented electronic dance, house artists. Tomorrowland 2014, here we come! Start preparing for fun music festivals.
Frequently asked questions
2 Ultra
Ultra Music Festival, where the music keeps playing and the beats keep flowing. Ultra tours internationally, but here in the United States, Ultra Music Festival is held in Miami, Florida. Since the festival is very, very popular and overly crowded, there are tons of really exciting parties surrounding the festival. There will be always be something to do. This intense musical festival won an International Dance Music Awards. Some of the highlight artists and DJs include David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, and Afrojack. Go different, go variety, go Ultra!
3 Electric Daisy Carnival
The Electric Daisy Carnival could be summed up as a huge music party that goes from sun up to sun down or sun down to sun up. This means that you can dance to artists and DJs such as Nero, Alesso, and Porter Robinson while watching the sun set and rise. The large dance party takes place in the big cities such as Las Vegas, New York City, and Chicago. There are no better places to party! My favorite addition to this music festival has to be the carnival rides such as the ferris wheel. Watching the sun rise and set while listening to some of your favorite tunes live is the best. There is also plenty of room so you won’t feel like a sardine. With all of the different simulations, including art, lights, and fireworks, you’ll be kept busy and interested by more than just music. Keep calm and rave on.
4 Electric Zoo
Randalls Island Park, New York City, a ferry ride, there is nothing better! With the festival catering to all-ages, it is well controlled and very organized. This means that there are wristband scanners, organized buses, and lots of security. You’re obviously there to have fun though so the lineup is totally fun-filled with artists like Axwell, Benny Benassi, Skrillex, and Knife Party. If you’re thirsty after dancing and bopping along, there are free refills with a $3 water bottle purchase. In addition, if you have an iPhone, which let’s face it, almost every individual has one besides myself, the festival’s iPhone app includes live schedules, maps, and food options. Electric Zoo is the perfect music party and tried to make life much easier at such a festival.
5 Coachella
There are so many reasons as to why Coachella is awesome. First off the festival is held in California, Indio, California to be exact. The festival is held on the best grass, literally meaning the festival has the best lawn, the palms trees and desert mountains make for a priceless backdrop, and there are tons of guest appearances by additional artists and celebrities. The lineup highlights in the past recent years include Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, and my personal favorite, Swedish House Mafia. Despite the masses of people coming to see these crazy good artists, it’s not too hard to get from stage to stage, which is a totally plus. Along with great music, you get to take advantage of the great people watching and great partying with beautiful, beautiful people.
6 Vans Warped Tour
A United States national tour, Vans Warped Tour, is seen as special and unique. Even with the heat and crowds, Vans Warped Tour is a tour in which everyone is accepted and everyone matters. You’re able to be yourself when listening to some of your favorite such as All Time Low, Taking Back Sunday, and Blood on the Dance Floor. After purchasing your ticket you’ll be able to realize that you still have sufficient funds in your bank account meaning the ticket didn’t destroy your entire summer. There are a bunch of meet and greets with all of the different bands that attend the music festival. What I find to be incredibly impressive is that the two main stages rarely overlap sets. This way you can see most of the big names. I think most individuals appreciate this the most since you get to see your favorites while at some other festivals, the favorites always overlap so you have to pick and choose!
7 Lollapalooza
Lollapalooza, the institution for rock-music fans as well as alternative-music fans. Now-a-days, the crowd is slightly tamer and there is an expansive mix of artists, which was not the way it has always been. Lana Del Ray, Ellie Goulding, and Nine Inch Nails are just a sampling of the more than 130 acts at Lollapalooza. The event became more like a traveling circus and popped up in different places way back when, but the festival current settled down in Chicago. The 130 acts range from mainstream pop to indie. Get yourself off of your couch and head to this festival, there are usually tons of attractions to keep you busy along with listening to some great music!
Of course there are also music festivals for country lovers and hip-hop fans that I would love to be a part of as well as the other variety of festivals. I am such a dancer so all music festivals are for me. I love a mix. If you’re unable to attend, iTunes offers tracks as well as full albums from these festivals such as Ultra. I’m always previewing songs from previous festivals to see what I am getting myself into before purchasing a festival ticket. There are so many different festivals that are offered. Which celebration and festival will you be apart of? Any favorites?
