If you're in a bad mood, listening to music is a great way to pep you up. There have been times when I've been down because of a situation in my life and found that music really helped me. Music allows you to hear stories about someone else's life. It shows you that you are not alone and that there's someone out there who's in / has been in a similar situation as you. It also allows you to see that there are people who may be dealing with worse situations than you are.
