This is definitely my all-time favorite Disney song! It sends such a wonderful message too! Who wouldn’t love these two best friends, Pumbaa an adorable warthog and his meerkat best friend, Timon? Actually the name of this beautiful song means no worries in Swahili and it really makes me feel good every time I hear it. It also such a catchy tune and I absolutely love the chorus: “Hakuna Matata, what a wonderful phrase/ Hakuna Matata, ain’t no passing craze/ It means no worries for the rest of your days/ It’s our problem free philosophy, Hakuna Matata”. And this is why this lovely tune makes the top of my list of the most inspirational Disney songs ever.

On youtube at:

This is the theme song from Disney’s first full length production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937 and it has been written by Larry Morry and Frank Churchill. It’s just so, so romantic and it just makes you dream about your Prince Charming, who you’ll surely going to meet someday. Maybe some people might not agree with me because they would say that this song actually sends a wrong message giving unrealistic expectations to teenagers, but in my opinion it’s nothing wrong with dreaming a little bit and if this songs makes you feel good, why not listen to it?

This amazing song actually teaches us how to focus only on the important things in life and not waste time worrying over insignificant details. I really should listen to this more often! Who could forget these very simple, yet extremely inspiring lyrics: “Look for the bare necessities/ The simple bare necessities/ Forget about your worries and your strife”. This song never disappoints, so hit the play button!

5

Beauty and the Beast – Beauty and the Beast

On youtube at:

This is another wonderful tune I really had to mention in this list of inspirational Disney songs. It has been written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, and Angela Lansbury is the one who sings it. It also won a lot of awards: best song at the Academy Awards, the Grammy’s, and the Canadian Film awards (a Juno award). It also sends a beautiful message reminding us that loves usually comes when you least expect it and that there are things that matter more than superficial aspects like prejudices or old grudges.
